Atlas Café provides a casual, comfortable community oriented place for the neighborhood to gather, eat, relax and socialize!
Atlas practices Community based sustainable business practices:
* Extensive recycling and composting to reduce waste stream.
* Buys fresh, wholesome foods and avoids processed or packaged foods whenever possible.
* Purchases products primarily from small local businesses.
* Hires from the community and provides low cost health insurance for part time and full time staff who want it.
* Supports the community through donations and participation with local groups such Cell Space, Precita Eyes Mural Arts, Boys and Girls Club, Mission High School, San Francisco Women Against Rape, Theater Artaud and others.
* Supports local artists and musicians by showcasing their work.
Among the offerings of Atlas Café are:
* Rich strong coffee drinks made from custom roasted beans.
* Fresh pastries made each day by local bakeries.
* Delicious and unique food made on site using only fresh ingredients.
* Numerous vegetarian selections are available and some vegan offerings.
* All of our sauces dressings and spreads are made fresh by us.
* Draft beer from some of California’s best micro-breweries as well as bottled beer and wine.
* Beautiful out door garden patio, covered and heated in winter (DOG and SMOKER friendly!).
* Free live music on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons with Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz, Ragtime and other American roots styles.
* Local artists are featured on our walls.
* Wide selection of magazines for patrons to peruse while they eat or drink at the café.
